Olivier Millénaire

Not a lengthy visit but a fascinating part of the area’s history. The Olivier Millénaire is one of the most interesting trees in France. With its extensive roots it is believed to have been brought to the area by the Phoenicians possibly 3000 years ago and likely planted by the Romans circa the year 400.

Medieval Château

Built in 970, the castle’s main purpose was originally defensive, but it has since passed hands several times until it was given to the town by Englishman Sir William Ingram in 1921.
