Cannes & Super Cannes

Known the world over for its annual film festival, Cannes is the epitome of French Riviera glamour. Many apartments for sale overlook the Port of Cannes where celebrities and millionaires hope to find a spot to anchor their new yacht . Despite its glitzy exterior, Cannes has a lot to offer to buyers as one of the French Riviera’s principal cities.

The film festival may be the highlight of Cannes social calendar, but events such as the MIPIM, the MIPCOM and the MIDEM attract thousands of visitors to the city year after year. As well as being home to countless conferences and international events, it is also a major stop on the region’s train line, including the TGV line to Paris; Cannes is well connected in more ways than one. The city is easily accessible from Nice airport and local trains and buses connect the city with other Riviera hotspots such as Nice and Monaco in under an hour.

The famed Croisette runs from the Palais des Festivals along a long stretch of golden, sandy beach to Port Canto at the East end of the city. The Croisette is lined with five star hotels and designer boutiques including Dior, Gucci and Valentino. Luxury apartments for sale on the Croisette in Cannes are highly sought after, mainly for the prestigious address and the open sea views of the bay of Cannes.

The roads that weave in between these two main thoroughfares of Cannes have numerous restaurants, cafés and bars. Still just a stone’s throw away from the sea front, this area has everything Cannes has to offer, right on its doorstep. The apartments for sale in Cannes’s back streets are much less expensive than those located on the famed Croisette.

From the narrow Rue Meynadier leading right up to the picturesque hilltop churchwhich sits proudly overlooking the bay of Cannes. Cobbled streets are home to quality restaurants which are overlooked by quaint, French style apartments.

Le Suquet is just a short stroll from the Port of Cannes. The Port is just as glossy as the rest of the city and stylish apartment blocks overlook the harboured yachts. The apartments for sale in this area of Cannes benefit from open sea views, especially on higher floors.

La Californie is the equivalent of Nice’s Mont Boron. Quiet, winding roads lead up into the hills where around every corner you will find extensive views of the Riviera Coastline. Residents of luxury properties are offered spectacular views of the Esterel Mountains drifting into the sea, all to be enjoyed in the utmost privacy this neighbourhood offers.
