Vence & Saint Paul de Vence

Vence and St Paul de Vence are extremely picturesque, inland towns that bask in the wonderful, panoramic views their location at altitude affords them.

Charming, historic villages, Vence and St Paul are synonymous with artists, many of whom have been inspired by these scenic, medieval villages. Matisse, Chagall and more walked the cobbled pathways of Vence and St Paul, which inspired some of their renowned creations. The this area, also encompassing neighbouring village La Colle sur Loup, is extremely popular with property buyers looking for luxury property for sale.

Vence is just 15 minutes from the main motorway in the region, it remains accessible to the rest of the Riviera, while benefitting from a relaxed, ‘away from it all’ ambiance. The city is home to many historic listed monuments including ornate fountains and its beautiful cathedral, all contained within its 13th Century stone ramparts.

St Paul is the more popular of the two villages, with tourists as well as prospective property buyers. St Paul de Vence is home to numerous luxury villas for sale, often with swimming pools and magnificent panoramic views. Villas for sale on the outskirts of St Paul de Vence have the added bonus of views over the historic skyline of the village and to the coast beyond.

The area is passionate about its local produce and this is reflected in the menus of local restaurants. Gourmet lovers need not go hungry, as this area is home to countless restaurants including several renowned gastronomic restaurants.

Vence and St Paul are just minutes from some of the Riviera’s most scenic countryside. What is described as le pays vencois is ideal for mountain biking, hiking and other outdoor activities.
